Montana is updating its statewide electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system May 8-10. To make these updates possible, card services and account updates will be offline for a short time while these changes are made.

During this period, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants are encouraged to plan food and cash purchases around the following schedule:

Key Times to Know:
• Balance Inquiries: Offline Friday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m.

• Shopping (In-store and Online): Offline Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 p.m.

• All Services Resume: Sunday, May 10 by mid-morning.

• Important: Keep your current card—it will still work! Download the ConnectEBT app or ConnectEBT website; the old Bnft portal is retiring May 10. Your benefits are secure and amounts will not change.

The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) and the Montana Office of Rural Health were honored to host the first Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) Stakeholder Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, Jan. 22, in Bozeman.

Over 600 passionate participants joined us both in person and virtually. During the meeting, the DPHHS team was proud to present on the historic $233 million investment to stabilize and modernize the state’s rural health care delivery. The award reflects the first-year award of a five-year federal grant program, with Montana currently set to receive up to $1.2 billion over the life of the program.
