April is Autism Awareness Month. The Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office is proud to recognize this month by supporting individuals and families in our community affected by autism and dementia.

During the month of April, the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a fundraising effort to help purchase supplies for individuals with autism and dementia through our Project Lifesaver Program.

Project Lifesaver provides an added layer of protection for individuals who may wander due to conditions such as autism or dementia. The program gives our deputies the tools needed to quickly respond and help locate individuals and safely return them to their families.

Funds raised will go toward purchasing additional equipment and supplies so we can continue providing this important service to families across Cleburne County.

Anyone wishing to donate can do so by going to projectlifesaver.org and clicking on the donate tab. Donations can be made using a check or PayPal. When donating, please select the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office so the donation will go directly to our local Project Lifesaver program to help purchase supplies.

We appreciate the continued support from our community as we work together to raise awareness and help protect those who need it most.

🚨 Winter Weather – Community Preparedness Notice ❄️

As a winter storm moves into our area, Cleburne EMS urges everyone to prepare now to stay safe and avoid emergencies if possible.

Please make sure you have:
• 🩺 Enough medications to last through the storm
• 🫁 Oxygen tanks fully stocked and working properly
• 🔥 Safe ways to stay warm in case of power outages
• 📱 Charged phones and emergency contacts ready

⚠️ Road conditions will likely be extremely dangerous. They will be just as hazardous for first responders as they are for everyone else. If you don’t absolutely need to travel, please stay off the roads.

Taking steps now helps keep you safe and allows EMS and other emergency crews to respond to the most critical calls during the storm.

Please check on neighbors, especially the elderly and those with medical needs.
Stay safe, stay warm, and be prepared.

Thank you to all of our law enforcement partners for all you do!
