Dirt Grrl Pottery

Dirt Grrl Pottery I am a working artist. I've studied wheel throwing and hand building techniques for 10+ years. This girl loves to get dirty.

My journey with clay started at Shippensburg University around 1997, with Bill Hynes. I completed a BA in Fine Arts concentrating on Ceramics. I picked up more studio time with Denise Joyal when I was working on my teaching certification at Wilson College. I could spend weeks in the studio, if I had no other responsibilities. I currently offer beginner classes at Berryville Parks and Rec. I am set

ting up a personal studio to offer private lessons, as well. If you have a particular piece in mind, please let me know.

One on one pottery lessons.. SO. Everyone’s been asking me about my teaching them wheel throwing and/or hand building and glazing techniques. I’ve decided to offer access to my wealth of knowledge πŸ˜‚β™₯️. Im offering a one and done introduction lesson. It costs $65. ALL materials included. If you choose wheel throwing, I will demonstrate the process, and then guide you through it yourself, until you create a vessel. We will let it dry, I will fire it, and complete the process by glazing it with you. Same with hand building techniques, if you choose that path. If you like it, we can come to an agreement for further instruction. To schedule, I ask for payment in advance, (that way I know you’ll show up) and I we can agree on dates/times.
