🚨Illinois State-Wide Tornado Siren Test WILL be conducted today at 10 AM. Sirens in Hecker, Floraville, Smithton and throughout St. Clair County will activate. The NWS in St. Louis has advised St. Clair County that any severe weather this morning is well North and South of the area. These sirens are generally tested every first Tuesday of the month at 10AM.

As always these are "Outdoor Warning Sirens" designed to notify people outside of a weather threat. They are not designed to be heard inside of structures and vehicles. When you hear an outdoor siren you should while taking cover tune to local TV or radio.

It is always a good idea to utilize an alerting weather radio, weather apps and mass notification systems such as "Code Red". St. Clair County Residents can enroll at www.alertstclair.com and Monroe County Residents can enroll at public.coderedweb.com/CNE/en-US/E4A1DADB51FB
