Today, the Hebron Police Department joins communities across the nation in recognizing Peace Officers Memorial Day. Observed each year on May 15th, this day honors the federal, state, and local law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty while serving and protecting others.

Established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, Peace Officers Memorial Day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by those who answered the call to serve their communities.

Today, we pause to remember the fallen, honor their legacy, and keep their families, friends, and fellow officers in our thoughts. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
