We would like to give a special thanks to Off Leash Grooming of Lowell and to Lowell Animal Hospital.

On Friday, Bane went to get himself all cleaned up and while he was there, the groomers were cleaning Bane's ears and thought he might have an infection. They took a swab and sent it next door to their in-house lab at Lowell Animal Hospital and confirmed he had an infection.
When we went to pick Bane up, not only was he handsome and clean, they also provided us with medication for his ear infection!

The service that these two places provide is top notch! The employees love and care about all the animals and it shows! Everyone is so friendly and professional. We are so lucky and proud to have you treating Bane!
We're also proud that Officer Bane is your first official K9 officer to be treated by your facility!
We can't that you enough for the generous services that you donate but also the care that you provide!

PSA--- Keep an eye out for a silver KIA pc bearing IL plate 806AA157

It was occupied by 2 Hispanic males who are responsible for a daytime burglary in Portage and Lowell.

They were claiming to be from the water company. They wore vests and had walkie talkies with them. One will keep the homeowner distracted while the other robs the house.

These individuals are targeting elderly citizens.

If you suspect any suspicious behavior or observe this vehicle, please call 911 immediately.

Attention Porter County! We are expecting dangerous heat and humidity this week, with peak heat indexes between 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit topping out Wednesday and Thursday. Be aware that your risk of heat stroke/heat exhaustion increases significantly in this extreme of heat. Limit your outdoor activities and exposure to the sun. Do not leave your children or pets in unattended automobiles! If you have to be outside, stay hydrated and recover indoors on a periodic basis so you do not overheat.
