Today, WRAAA had the pleasure of attending the Ice Cream Social and Cake Walk at the Waychoff Senior Center as part of the celebration for Older Americans Month!

A special shoutout to Cortney Krouse and Cheryl Anderson for setting up a wonderful WRAAA table and helping make the event such a success. We enjoyed spending time with the community, sharing information about our programs, and celebrating the amazing older adults we serve every day.

Thank you to the Waychoff Senior Center for hosting such an awesome event and for all you do for seniors in your community! 💙

This Memorial Day, White River Area Agency on Aging pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

✨ Program Spotlight: Family Caregiver Program ✨

At White River Area Agency on Aging, we understand the vital role caregivers play every single day. Our Family Caregiver Program, operated by Sharon Johnson, is dedicated to supporting those who spend their time caring for loved ones.

This program helps connect eligible caregivers with valuable local resources including respite care, educational materials, support groups, and additional services designed to ease the challenges of caregiving. Through these services, caregivers can find encouragement, temporary relief, and support while continuing to care for those they love most.

The Family Caregiver Program serves individuals caring for loved ones aged 60 and older who may be considered frail, have dementia-related diagnoses, or require daily supervision and assistance with everyday activities.

One of the greatest impacts of this program is helping caregivers realize they are not alone. From respite opportunities to supportive guidance, WRAAA is committed to helping families navigate caregiving with compassion and care.
