Heber Springs Fire Department The Heber Springs Fire Department is a 30-member combination department dedicated to protecting the lives and property of our community.

Our members are trained and equipped to respond to a wide range of emergencies, including fire suppression, water rescue and dive operations, high-angle rope rescue, EMS calls, vehicle extrication, fire prevention, and fire investigations. Our department operates a diverse fleet consisting of six fire engines, one aerial apparatus, one rescue unit, two brush trucks, two boats, and one side-by-side

. With five stations strategically located throughout the area, we provide emergency coverage for approximately 58 square miles. Serving both the City of Heber Springs and surrounding areas.

Yes… we know it rained in some parts of the county.

No… it wasn’t enough to get rid of the burn ban.

We promise, we love rain just as much as you do. But unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t exactly give us a “problem solved” amount of rain.

The ground is STILL VERY, VERY DRY, and one little spark can turn into a much bigger problem.

So please, refrain from burning until the burn ban is lifted.

Your firefighters would really like to spend their day doing literally anything other than chasing a fire started by someone who said, “But it rained yesterday!”

August was another busy month for the Heber Springs Fire Department. Throughout the month, our crews responded to a total of 172 calls for service.

Our August call breakdown was:

🔥 Fires & Fire Related: 20
🚙 Motor Vehicle Accidents: 6
🚑 EMS: 135
💧 Water Response: 1
🚒 Other Calls for Service: 10

We are proud of the dedication and commitment our firefighters continue to show to the citizens and visitors of our community.

We would like to give a huge thank you to a very generous citizen for this amazing donation! Your kindness and support mean so much to our department.

This donation will help keep our firefighters hydrated and ready to respond during these hot summer days. Staying hydrated is especially important while working in the heat and during extended incidents.

Cleburne County is now under a burn ban due to dry conditions and increased wildfire danger.

🔥 All outdoor burning should cease until the burn ban is lifted.

Please do not burn brush, leaves, trash, or other materials outdoors during the burn ban. Even a small fire can quickly get out of control under dry conditions.

🔥 Cleburne County remains under a burn ban. 🔥

Even though we received some much needed rain yesterday, it was not enough to significantly improve conditions. Our area remains extremely dry, and the risk of fire remains high.

Please continue to avoid outdoor burning until conditions improve and the burn ban is lifted.

Extreme Heat & Dry Conditions = Increased Fire Danger

With extremely hot and dry conditions across our area, the risk of grass, brush, and wildfire increases significantly. Please use extra caution and help prevent a fire before it starts.

🚬 Never throw ci******es or cigarette butts out of vehicle windows. Dry grass and vegetation can ignite quickly from a discarded cigarette.

🌿 Keep trailers, vehicles, and equipment away from dry grass and brush when possible. Ensure trailer safety chains are not dragging the ground, this can cause sparks and start fires.

⚡ Be cautious with anything that can create sparks or heat.

🚗 Never park vehicles on dry grass. Hot exhaust components can start a fire.

💧 Keep water and fire extinguishing equipment nearby when performing outdoor work.

A small spark can quickly become a large wildfire under these conditions.

Please help us protect our community, homes, property, and natural resources. Stay safe and prevent a fire before it starts.
