Wasatch County Government The Official page of Wasatch County, Utah Wasatch County is located in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah east of the Salt Lake, and Utah valleys.

Wasatch County is composed mainly of mountainous terrain with high mountan valleys. Wasatch County is home to Heber City, Midway City, Charleston Town, Wallsburg Town, Daniel Town, Hideout Town, Independence Town, and a small portion of Park City. Wasatch County has fantastic outdoor recreational opportunities.

SWISS DAYS TRAFFIC INFO:
Travelers should expect heavy traffic throughout Provo Canyon and the greater Midway area, particularly near the US-189 and SR-113 intersection this weekend.

- If possible, use alternative routes when traveling to Midway and allow extra travel time to reach your destination.
- Additional traffic control measures will be in place throughout the weekend.
- Follow all traffic control devices, watch for flaggers and law enforcement personnel, and be prepared for delays.
- Construction crews will not be working from Saturday, Sept. 5, through Monday, Sept. 7.
- There will be construction on Friday but no expected closures.

Council Chair Erik Rowland and County Manager Dustin Grabau met with staff from the Governor‘s Office today to discuss preliminary municipalities, which you may have heard referred to as SB 258.

The conversation was productive and it’s clear that we want the same outcomes. They acknowledged their initial approach in response to our decisions was not the most constructive path forward and confirmed there will be no negative impacts to state funding in Wasatch County.

They were receptive to our concerns and the need for practical and sustainable approaches to expand homeownership opportunities for local teachers, first responders, and others who serve the community while aligning with our community’s priorities.

We will be presenting a resolution opposing SB 258 at next week’s council meeting.

We encourage you to stay engaged on this issue and share any questions or concerns on SB 258 with state legislators.
