Heber Light & Power Heber Light & Power provides electric service to more than 16,000 customers in the Heber Valley.

Heber Light & Power was formed in 1909 by the communities of Heber City, Midway City and Charleston Town. The company operates an electric generation, transmission and distribution system covering 100 square miles in Wasatch County. The utility's service area spans east to the top of Timberlakes, west to Swiss Mountain Estates and Oak Haven in Midway City, south to the UDOT weigh station and north to Hwy 32.

Due to Red Flag Warning fire conditions, portions of our system may be placed in a safety "one-shot" setting. If an outage occurs, crews must inspect the affected circuit before power can be restored, which will prolong the outage. Please have a plan in place for long outages. Safety is our top priority.

The outage this morning was caused by excavation work on our system. The issue was not reported which delayed restoration. We eventually found a destroyed underground cable. 403 customers are still out of power as we work to make repairs. ETA 1:00 pm
