Structure Fire – Healdsburg

This evening, the Healdsburg Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at a single-family residence in the 400 Block of Greens Drive.
Crews arrived to find a significant fire in the attic above the garage. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the attic and prevent extension into the living space. The residence did sustain significant smoke and water damage.

The occupant and dogs safely evacuated the home prior to firefighters’ arrival. No injuries were reported.

Healdsburg Fire received mutual-aid assistance from Sonoma County Fire District, Northern Sonoma County Fire District, and CAL FIRE.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Late-Night Structure Fire Response

A little after 11:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, Healdsburg Fire Department responded to the area of Chateau Real for a reported trailer fire.

Firefighters arrived to find a fully involved camp trailer. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby vegetation or exposures.

One patient was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Healdsburg Fire was assisted on scene by Northern Sonoma County Fire District and CAL FIRE.

For the second time this week, Healdsburg Fire Department’s Engine 6361 was deployed on an Immediate Need mutual aid response.

This time, our crew responded to assist our neighbors in Mendocino County on the Feliz Fire, located west of Hopland.

Engine 6361 and its crew spent the night assigned to the incident and returned home safely Sunday afternoon.

The Feliz Fire was last reported at 872 acres and 10% contained.

We appreciate the dedication of our firefighters and are proud to support our neighboring communities through California’s mutual aid system while continuing to provide emergency response coverage here at home.

SMOKE ADVISORY

Drift smoke from the Feliz Fire, burning west of Hopland in Mendocino County, is now visible in the Healdsburg area. The fire is currently estimated at approximately 500 acres and remains active.

A Healdsburg Fire Engine has traveled north to support the incident, while HFD remains at normal staffing levels for the city of Healdsburg.

While the fire is not threatening Healdsburg, changing winds are carrying smoke into our area. If you are sensitive to smoke, consider limiting prolonged outdoor activity and keep windows and doors closed if smoke becomes noticeable.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

Yesterday, Healdsburg Fire Department responded to the Woodside Fire near Salt Point on the coast as part of the countywide Immediate Need Response. Thanks to off-duty personnel returning to work, Healdsburg remained fully staffed while our crew was deployed.

We’re happy to report that the crew of 6361 has returned home safely. Thank you to all of our personnel for your dedication, teamwork, and commitment to keeping both our community and our neighboring communities safe.

As onshore winds have developed this afternoon, drift smoke from the Woodside Fire near Salt Point is now visible in the Healdsburg area.

This smoke is being carried inland by the wind and does not indicate a fire in or near Healdsburg.

If you are sensitive to smoke, consider limiting outdoor activity. Stay informed through Watch Duty and official fire information sources. We will provide updates as needed.
