Thursday morning members joined Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Camp Troop N Camp Cadet in a mock DUI crash demonstration. Special thanks to Troop N Camp Cadet for welcoming us into their program to show the cadets how we operate.

BACK-TO-BACK CRASHES WITH ENTRAPMENT

On 06/19/26 at 1407 hours, Hazle Township companies were dispatched to the Cando Expressway near the Cranberry Creek for a crash with injuries. Additional calls received reported injuries and an occupant trapped. Chief 1 (Kostician) arrived and confirmed the report. The Rescue Company extricated one (1) victim who was transported to a local hospital.

At 1559 hours, companies were sent to Susquehanna Boulevard and Pecora Boulevard for a crash with unknown injuries. Chief 3 (Zoshak) arrived and reported multiple injuries and one driver trapped. The Rescue Company extricated the elderly driver who was transported to a local hospital.

🔥🔥 AFTERNOON 1ST DUE HOUSE FIRE 🔥🔥

On 06/18/26 at 1317 hours, Hazle Township companies were dispatched to 103 Crystal Ridge Court for a report of a house on fire. Engine 3 arrived as the 1st due Engine to find a working fire on the Alpha Bravo corner running the walls. Chief 1 (Kostician) arrived and established the command and requested an additional Engine and Truck from Hazleton City and an Engine from West Hazleton. Crews had one line inservice quickly bringing the fire under control. Township and City crews would work hand in hand opening up and ventilating while West Hazleton Engine secured the water supply to Engine 3. Chief 1 (Kostician) held the command.

***BACK-TO-BACK WORKING FIRES***
Last night at 9:06pm 141 Station was dispatched as part of the 2nd alarm assignment to 50 East County Road in Sugarloaf Township for a working structure fire. Truck 5 and Engine 2 responded and assisted on scene.

While units were operating in Sugarloaf a second structure fire was reported on East Foothills Drive in Butler Township. Hazleton City Fire Tower 1 and Engine 2 were requested to replace Hazle Township units. Rescue 1 and Tanker 6 responded to Butler Township and assisted on scene.

Thank you to Weatherly Fire, Beaver Meadows Fire, and Shenandoah Tiller 64-25 for covering Hazle Township and the area while crews operated on the fires.

For five decades, our volunteers have answered the call whenever needed, and that commitment continues today. Throughout the month, and on every incident we respond to, our members demonstrated the same dedication, professionalism, and selfless service that have been the foundation of our organization for the past 50 years.
