Well folks, Looks like we may get 8 to 12 inches of snow possibly mixed with ice/freezing rain. Please stay off the roads if at all possible. Driving will be hazardous. Keep an eye on your elderly neighbors. Please move your vehicles off the roadways so the plows can do their job.

The Hazlet Twp. Office of Emergency Is currently monitoring the snow event predicted for this weekend. We could be expecting up to 18" of snow/ice from around 7pm on Saturday to about 1pm on Monday. This event will make travel very hazardous, so if you don't need to drive, please stay home.
We remind all residents of the importance of complying with Township Ordinance 305-8, which requires the removal of vehicles from the township roadways during snow emergencies.
In the event of widespread power outages and/or the need for evacuations, the North Centerville Firehouse on Middle Rd. will be the Reception Center where residents may come to wait out the evacuation. For prolonged evacuations, those at the Reception Center may be transported a Monmouth County Evacuation Center. We URGE residents to go to a relative or friends house if possible before utilizing the Reception Center.
The Hazlet Twp. Office of Emergency Management will be monitoring the storm and update the residents as needed.
