Please bring your children to the Mammoth Pond Fishing Derby tomorrow! We have great prizes! Starts at 10 a.m.

The City of Hazen will be hosting its 23rd annual Mammoth Pond Fishing Derby Saturday June 6,2026 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Mammoth Pond Park. The derby is for children 15 years of age and under and a fishing license is not required. The City of Hazen received a $1,000 spark good grant from Beebe Walmart to provide some of our prizes. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day with special prizes to those catching tagged fish. Refreshments will also be provided by local businesses. Please bring your children out for a great time and don’t forget to bring your own fishing pole and bait!

The City of Hazen Bingo is tomorrow at 12 noon at the Hazen Senior Center! We have lots of great prizes!

Invitation for Bids

The City of Hazen will be accepting sealed bids for the sale of the following truck:

2014 GMC Sierra 1500, 2WD, regular cab, LWB, 4.3L, 113,922K miles, all electric

Truck will be sold as is with no warranty or guarantee. Truck will be parked outside the depot and can be inspected there. The City of Hazen will receive bids until 1:30p.m., Friday, June 26, 2026. Bids will be opened at City Hall Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:30p.m. Winning bidder must pay in full within 10 business days. Failure to pay will result in the truck going to the next highest bidder. Payment must be in the form of cash or a cashier’s check.

All bids must be in a sealed envelope clearly and legibly marked on the outside with "TRUCK BID". The city is not responsible for premature opening for any bids not properly marked.

Sealed bids can be hand delivered to City Hall offices or placed in the night deposit box at the City Hall offices at 111 N. Hazen Ave. or mailed to P.O. Box 564, Hazen, Arkansas 72064. The city is not responsible for mailed bids arriving after the deadline.

The City of Hazen reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
