For the past month, the AlBaraka team joined the 2 billion Muslims around the world in observing the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan, a time of reflection, increased worship and fasting, which involves abstaining from consuming any food or drink (yes, even water) from dawn til dusk, is also a time for charity and giving to those in need.

Kiddos from the community who have been learning more about Ramadan and fasting along with their parents, wanted to partake in giving back and collected donations for AlBaraka Food Pantry. There excitement brought us so much joy! They separated all the donations to ensure each family received one of each food item. They are also going above and beyond and collecting funds to purchase a fridge for the pantry to expand our food options for our families!

With kids like these, our future is looking real bright alhamdulillah. For those who observed Ramadan, we hope your month was filled with beauty, peace, blessings, and answered prayers 🤲

We will prep the boxes purchased and will coordinate with AlBaraka Food Pantry to pick them up and distribute.
