Annual Hazelton 4th of July Celebration will be Saturday, June 27 th. Parade starts at 6pm (line up starts at 5). Silver and Gold Senior Center will have their pancake breakfast that morning at the Fire Station starting at 7am.

City of Hazelton is doing Johnny Horizon Clean up on Saturday, May 2nd. Will start @ 9am at City Hall. Anyone invited to come help. We will serve all helpers pizza and soda when we are finished. Large dumpster are available at West end of town by the recycle bins for those wanting to clean around their own property. Thanks. Brings gloves, rakes and or hoes.

Saturday, June 29th is the Annual City of Hazelton 4th of July Celebration; some of the events happening are: Pancake Breakfast put on by the Silver & Gold Sr. Center @ Hazelton Fire Dept. 7:30am to 10:30am; model planes @ Hazelton Airport; Tractor Pulls at the Lockwood cellars @ 1pm; 5k run/walk starts @ 8:30 on main St. see poster for contact information, parade at 6pm ; then all the fun begins at the City Park..... a free concert by CrossFire from 7pm to 9pm; Food booths; train rides for kids; Mechanical Bulls small & large; slide and orbiter; dunk tank ; Conclusion will be The best fireworks you will see @ 10:00 pm. See ya there :)

There will be a meeting On Monday 12th @ 7:30pm @ City Hall to discuss the annual tree lighting ceremony. Need volunteers to help with the event. Anyone is welcome.

The Celebration will start Friday, June 29th with a free concert @ Hazelton City Park from 7-10 pm by "THROTTLE BACK" (Gary and Jared Roach) bring your lawn chair and come enjoy the band. The carnival will be open 7-10 pm with all rides for $1.00 each. Hot Dogs and drinks will be for sale for $1.00 each. Saturday, June 30th, kicks off with (we hope) a pancake breakfast from 8:00-10:30 am @ Hazelton City Hall - put on by Silver & Gold Senior Citizen's Center- all proceeds go to help them with funds to operate on during the year & get your car washed by the 4H kids while you eat breakfast . Parade starts @ 6pm on Main St.; After the parade all activities will start @ the Park, food booths, games, carnival, free concert by CROSSFIRE from 7-10 pm . Then @ 10pm the best fireworks in the valley will be put off by 1st Segregation Fire Dept.. Stop by the BBQ Beef booth for a yummy sandwich and look for our sale items: t-shirts and hats for $6.00 each or 2 for $10.00 and the much awaited Hazelton Centennial History Book will be available for sale. See you all there. If you still need to get your booth space saved please contact JoAnn @ City Hall by June 27th.
