With extremely hot temperatures expected across Perry County tomorrow, we want to make sure everyone has a safe place to get out of the heat.

We will open a Cooling Station on the second floor of the Perry County Courthouse from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for anyone who needs a cool place to spend some time during the heat.

We encourage everyone to take precautions during these high temperatures. Stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity when possible, and check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone who may be especially vulnerable to the heat.

The Thunderdome is starting to take shape.

Work continues on the course for the 2026 Ultra4 USA Nationals in Hazard, Kentucky, and take a look at what’s already sitting across that straightaway.

A long rock section right in the middle of the action. Anyone else getting a little bit of that old-school Nationals feeling?

The course continues to come together, and we’ll keep showing you the progress all the way to race week.

What’s the first thing that catches your eye looking at the course so far?

October 14–18 | Hazard, Kentucky

Only 5,000 spectator tickets will be available for Nationals. Get yours now and be there when this place comes to life.

September is packed with plenty to do at the Perry County Public Library!
