💙🧡Our very own Ms. Sarah Howard just finished leading two sessions for the Studies Weekly Learning Lab, a nationwide virtual professional development event open to all users of Studies Weekly curriculum. The sessions were entitled “Natural Inquiry: Using Anchoring Phenomena and Questioning for High Outcomes” and “Joyful Learning: Practical Approaches to High Engagement and Student Success”.

We’re excited to welcome Ruby Couch into the Elementary School MAF Grant position at West Perry Elementary!

After 14 years in the classroom, I am excited to share that I will be stepping into a new role as an Elementary Math Coach through the Kentucky Department of Education Mathematics Achievement Fund Grant.

Leaving the classroom is bittersweet. I have been blessed to learn, laugh, grow, and make memories with so many incredible students and families over the years. However, I am looking forward to supporting teachers and students in a new way. I am passionate about helping all students succeed in mathematics, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside educators to strengthen math instruction at West Perry.

We’re excited to welcome Noble Johnson into the Middle School MAF Grant position at West Perry Elementary! In this new role, Noble will work alongside our middle school math teachers, providing support, collaboration, and instructional guidance to strengthen mathematics instruction for our students.

We are excited to have Mr. Johnson serving our 6th–8th grade team and look forward to the positive impact this work will have on both our teachers and our Warriors.

Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Mize, Mrs. Short, Mrs. Neace, and Mrs. Kemper are attending the Kentucky Reads to Succeed Conference, where they are learning, collaborating, and growing as educators. They are gaining valuable knowledge about new literacy standards, evidence-based instructional practices, and strategies to support student success. We look forward to returning back to West Perry Elementary with new ideas and resources that will benefit our students and strengthen teaching and learning across our school. 💙🧡
