The staff at Care Cottage were truly honored to be invited to participate in Read Across America Week at RGE! It is always a joy to spend time with students and celebrate the importance of reading.
Our very own Victoria Halcomb had the opportunity to read to 1st and 4th grade classes, sharing stories and encouraging a love of books and learning. The students were wonderful listeners and made the experience so special!

Thank you to RGE for welcoming us into your classrooms and allowing us to be a small part of such an important week. Opportunities like this remind us how powerful reading can be in inspiring young minds. 📖💙

The Care Cottage staff would like to send a HUGE thank you to two very special young ladies — 💖
Ellie Crawford, 9-year-old Jr Miss Kentucky, and her sweet sister Emma Crawford, 6-year-old Miss Bluegrass Hazard — who wanted to host a stuffed animal drive so kids in tough situations could have something “to give them an extra cuddle.” 🧸

Because of your kindness and big hearts, so many children will now have a soft, comforting friend to hold onto during difficult times. Your thoughtfulness and compassion at such a young age truly inspire us all.

Ellie and Emma, thank you for using your voices and your hearts to make a difference in the lives of children in our community.
