Our members enjoyed Valentines Day in support of Ronald McDonald House attending the 606 Gala. We are proud to support the wonderful work they do to support families of our area in their times of need.

Thursday and Sunday ONLY, purchase an armband for $20 and ride as many rides as many times as you can!!!!

Tickets can be used anytime. Individual tickets for $1.50

It’s Awards and Graduation season.
A time to honor the great accomplishments of the young people in our area and support them in the next step of their educational journey.

On 5/13/25, Kiwanian Michelle Beder was honored to present awards to two students at Buckhorn High School on behalf of the Hazard Kiwanis Club.

The Herman Maggard Scholarship ($1000) was awarded to Laken Napier.

The Citizenship Award ($250) was awarded to Haydyn Owens.

Congratulations to Laken and Haydyn and best wishes from the Kiwanis Club of Hazard/Perry Co.

Join us at the Letcher County UK Extension Office in Whitesburg for an informative session on Physical Activity and Sleep. 🏃‍♀️😴 This event is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of diabetes and how lifestyle choices can make a difference. Family members and caregivers are especially encouraged to attend. You are also welcome to stay after for our new free Physical Activity Class.

Can’t make it in person? No worries! You can join us via Zoom from anywhere. 🌐 Just visit zoom.us/myarhdiabetessupport at 10am to participate live.

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Hazard awards a $1000 scholarship, and a $250 Citizenship Award to students from Perry County Central, Hazard, Buckhorn and Cordia High Schools.

Tonight Kiwanis President, Scott May and Secretary, Michelle Beder were privileged to attend Honors Night at PCC to make the awards to two deserving students.

Congratulations to our recipients:

Caiden Jeffery Ritchie - Citizenship Award

Kiwanis Club of Hazard was a proud Screaming Silver Sponsor of the Hospice Halloween Bash at Appalachian Arts Alliance/ArtStation on October 21st. This event raises money to support the work of Bluegrass care Navigators.

The food was amazing, the band was absolutely awesome, community support from out little town awe-inspiring!

A howling good time was had by all!!
