Latest NWS Storm Prediction Center Day 1 Outlook has expanded the Enhanced Risk across most of our coverage area today-tonight. Timing is starting 3pm-4pm in SW Minnesota and spreading NE through tonight.

Be sure to remain sky aware, especially if participating in any outdoor activities today. Have multiple methods of receiving watches/warnings issued by our (and any) NWS office.

For the Bass Lake, LCO, Stone Lake, Spider Lake and Hayward areas: There are several downed power lines and trees on road ways. Please do not drive over or under compromised powerlines. Fire departments, Law Enforcement and Emergency crews are working as quickly possible to clear roadways of electrical lines and trees.

While an initial line of storms is expected in Wisconsin mid-evening, it will be followed by strong winds that last well into Thursday morning. Use caution when traveling – especially if driving a vehicle with a high profile.

A winter storm will bring accumulating snow to north-central and northwest Wisconsin this Friday and Saturday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Price County from 12 PM Friday to 9 AM Saturday. The heaviest snowfall is expected to occur Friday evening to Saturday morning. If you have flexible travel plans, consider delaying travel until Saturday afternoon. If travel is necessary, use reduced speed and allow for extra stopping distance.
