Yesterday your Hayward Firefighters hosted the Steve Holt Memorial Charity Softball Tournament at Big League Dreams in Manteca. 17 teams representing different departments from across Northern California came out and competed for “The Axe” while raising money for charity. In the end, Stockton Fire came away with the upper division championship, while SF Heat won the lower division. A big thank you to all those who came out and supported our event!

Hayward Firefighters had a great day at the Manteca Firefighters Charity Softball tournament! Hayward managed to win the lower bracket Championship against Fremont . Thanks to for a great day!

Relay Rumble workouts are in! Get a team of 3 from your Fire department and come out for the 1st Annual Charity Firefighter Relay Rumble on Sunday May 4th!! Hayward Firefighters and Crossfit Livermore have teamed up to make this awesome, competitive family friendly event! This competition is designed to test the fitness of a 3 person fire company, highlighting the physical fitness that’s required for the job.
Each team will have a chance to compete for a charity of there choice within their respective city or county which must be announced at registration day of the event.
With ONLY 14 teams competing we will have a total of $2000 to donate towards the charity of choice.
Events are designed to replicate a day on the job so everything will be fast paced and highlight the teams ability to work together, recover and overcome the demands of each individual event for a total of 4 events across the day.
Winners will be determined based on the overall score for all events.
This is a family friendly day so bring the kids, wives, husbands and friends!!
All are welcome!
COST:
$150 per team (3 firefighters)
PRIZE:
$2000 for 1st place to a charity in the City or County the winning department works in.
