Our Dodge City trip is FULL! We are happy to still put a couple extra people on a wait list for if we receive a cancellation.

Cancellations are accepted until two weeks prior to all day trips (July 15th). After this date, refunds will only be processed if another individuals fills that vacancy.

One of our amazing members, Joyce, who is part of our writing group, The Golden Pens, gave us this beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Joyce wrote this after attending our Sock Hop last week. It brought tears to our eyes and reminded us why we put so much time and effort into every special event—the little details and the big ones alike. Events like our Sock Hop bring back cherished memories and fill our members with joy and happiness.

Having places like Senior Centers in our communities is more important than many people realize. The opportunities for socialization, physical and mental activity, and combating isolation all have a profound impact on our health and well-being as we age.

Thank you, Joyce, for your kind words—not only in your writing, but also for the praise you shared with us in person. We love what we do because of amazing members like you. ❤️

🥕🍅 The Common Ground Mobile Market will be at the Haysville Senior Center on Thursday, June 25, at 12:30 p.m.!

This is a wonderful opportunity to use your Farmers Market Nutrition Program cards while enjoying fresh, locally sourced produce. The market also accepts all other forms of payment.

We are grateful to Common Ground Mobile Market for bringing their fresh fruits and vegetables to our community once again. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

We want to give a special thank you to Jonathan Marr, Derby Fire Marshal, for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak with us about the Derby Fall Prevention Coalition. Mr. Marr shared valuable home safety tips, explained how the coalition was created, and discussed his vision for expanding its impact into other communities in the future.

Tomorrow is the day! Beginning at 8:30am, we will begin taking reservations for the upcoming Dodge City day trip! The bus holds 56 passengers, so be sure to get your reservations in quick. As people arrive in the morning, we will ask you to put your name on the sign in sheet. We will then call people in order to purchase their seat and complete our waiver. See you all in the morning!
