Sanitary Control Easement Surveys
The city would like to let everyone know that on Wednesday August 10, 2022, surveyors from CP&Y will be in the city to do surveys. The surveys are being done so the city can obtain sanitary control easements needed to drill the replacement well on Country Lane. Please call Don Rauschuber at 512-413-9300 if any issues arise.

Gordon Blake long time resident of The City of Hays and husband of Councilwoman, Candace Blake passed away February 16, 2022.
He was a kind man and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Gordon Robert Blake, 72, of Buda, Texas, died February 17, 2022, surrounded by his devoted wife of 43 years, Candace, and their children. Gordon, son of Zada Metzler Blake and Gordon John Blake, and proud big brother of Tara, Scott and Dan, was born in Batavia, NY, and raised in nearby Wyoming...

May 7 2022 Election
There are only two days to submit your application for a place on the ballot. The deadline to submit is 5p.m. Friday, February 18. So far we have three applications submitted. One for Mayor, Lydia Bryan Valdez, one for Place 2, Tom Lemman and one for Place 3, Tony Valdez.

Just a reminder that the deadline to file an application for a place the ballot for the May 7, 2022 election is Friday February 18, 2022 at 5pm. If you have ever had an interest in serving your community as a council member now is your chance! There will be three seats open in the May election. Mayor, Place 2 and Place 3. As of the time of this posting, no one has submitted an application. If you have any questions please call city hall at 512-461-0301.
