So I didn’t receive enough votes to be elected this time around, but I’m pretty proud of myself for earning 4,200 votes on my first try, amidst a global pandemic in a historic election year with record turnout. Thank you to EVERYONE who voted for me, liked a picture, shared, told their friends or neighbors, asked for a sign, supported in ANY WAY. I will still be involved in South Bay politics in some way, and I really encourage people to continue attending city council meetings and speaking on the changes you want to see in Hawthorne.

Although we live in a time where everyone suddenly changed, the positive side is that you can now attend a Hawthorne City Council meeting through zoom from the comfort of your own home. You don’t need to find childcare or take off time from work to hurry down to Hawthorne City Hall to give a comment. I encourage everyone to take advantage of that and keep advocating for change. I want to send a special thank you to and for helping me create my signs. And for helping me with boots on the ground work. You all are much appreciated! Until next time!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is getting out to vote today. A lot of people have fought and died for our RIGHT to vote, so whoever is able to should exercise that right.

Regardless of the outcome of my campaign, I want to thank everyone who's shared my posts, told a friend or neighbor about me, asked for a sign, or voted for me. This is my first venture into local office and I've learned a lot. I hope to be elected to be an honest, born and raised representative for Hawthorne and my generation. I hope everyone's election day goes smoothly. Thank you!!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is getting their information together, and voting early. Please remember to do as much research as you can. I know Hawthorne has historically had shady politics at City Hall, so your decision makers should be people who you think represent Hawthorne's best interests as a whole, whoever that may be. Thank you SO much to my neighbors that came out in Bodger Park to help clean up out neighborhood ! We cleaned up a lot of bags of trash and I got to meet a lot more of my neighbors who I haven’t met yet. So proud of our community.

Did you know Bodger Park and Hawthorne in general have a community garden? I’ve heard people say they want more of this in the City of Hawthorne but it seems like there’s services available right under our nose ! We ran into people who’ve been farming this garden for years. Please message me for more information and thank you to the people that helped set this up and came out today!

The LA County Department of Health Services and the LA County Department of Public Health in partnership with Community Partners will be launching the County COVID-19 Community Equity Fund to serve neighborhoods disproportionally impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic through resources and prevention.

The County COVID-19 Equity Community Fund will form partnerships with selected grassroots community-based organizations (CBOs) that possess cultural and linguistic expertise and their community’s trust to reach historically under-resourced and hard to reach communities. Hello! I actually recorded this a couple of days ago but in spite of everything going on with “other” ballot boxes, I wanted to post ASAP to show everyone what an actual L.A. County Ballot drop off looks like. Please vote however you feel comfortable, but vote EARLY. You can track the progress of your ballot at https://california.ballottrax.net/voter/. That is the official Secretary of State website for tracking your ballot from the day it’s mailed to you to the day it’s verified back and counted. November 3rd is only 3 weeks away so get to it!!
