Pike County Area Agency on Aging "Seniors are our First Priority" The Aging office has many programs available to assist Seniors, or their loved ones to meet their needs.

Assessments
Assessment services are provided to determine the level of care, needs and financial eligibility, of a consumer to enable the assessor to offer the most appropriate and adequate services available to ensure the consumer can remain in the community safely. Care Managers
Once it is determined whether the consumer fits into an Options or Waiver program the consumer will be assigned a Care

Manager dedicated to that specific program to develop an appropriate care plan. Protective Services
This service assists individuals who are at RISK because of abuse of any kind-emotional, mental, or physical neglect, financial exploitation. This program requires the agency to address and/or investigate all cases of abuse. ALL CALLS ARE CONFIDENTIAL 24 hour HOT LINE (800)233-8911

Elder Justice Day returned for its 12th year on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Bushkill Center for Active Adults, bringing together professionals and community members for a day focused on this year’s theme, Aging Gracefully. Attendees enjoyed engaging presentations on a variety of aging related topics and had the opportunity to connect with local home health agencies and community organizations offering valuable information and resources.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to the sponsors whose support helped make this event possible. The Pike County Area Agency on Aging is grateful for the continued collaboration that ensures Elder Justice Day remains a meaningful and impactful resource for older adults in our community.

More than 30 agencies and service providers will be onsite at Elder Justice Day on August 25!

Find helpful resources on legal matters like Power of Attorney and Wills, plus connections to home health, hospice, hearing and vision services, banks, assisted living, rehab care, and much more.

Free blood pressure screenings and safe medication disposal will also be available.

With forecasts calling for heat and humidity that will make temperatures feel like the upper 90’s to low 100’s this week, it is important to understand the spectrum of heat-related illnesses and take measures to prevent heat related illness.

The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) would like to inform members of the community that select Pike County Senior Centers will be acting as Cooling Centers.

Blooming Grove Center: M - F 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (with the exception of 7/3)
Eastern Pike at Matamoras Fire Dept.: Wed. 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
