A huge thank you to the Akron Care Center for reaching out to the Hawarden Public Library and coming to town for not one, but two tours of Hawarden!

We had so much fun showing off all the great things happening in our community. Of course, we had to bring in the experts! Dan Eastman shared some Hawarden history, and Larry Gregg filled everyone in on all the good things happening around town.

And because no proper Hawarden tour is complete without snacks, we made a stop at Route 10 Drive-In for treats courtesy of Mario Ramos Realtor and pie from Central Cafe, sponsored by the library! 🍦🥧

Thanks for coming to visit us, Akron Care Center! We loved having you and invite you to come back anytime!

What a way to celebrate a summer of reading! 💦☀️

These kids worked hard all summer long to reach their Summer Reading goals, so we celebrated BIG at Wild Water West! Water slides, wave pools, pizza, ice cream, the lazy river and a whole lot of FUN!

We are so proud of Boston, Emma, Kalli, Leighton, Sawyer, and SJ for all the reading they accomplished this summer. The perfect ending to another amazing Summer Reading Program at the Hawarden Public Library! 💙📚

The library is excited to be a partner for Little Miss Big Sioux River Days! 👑

👑 Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Calling all West Sioux students in 2nd through 5th grade! We are royally excited to once again partner with the Hawarden Public Library for this event. It’s one of our favorite traditions each year, and we can’t wait to welcome this year’s princesses!
