One month away!

Join us June 25, 6:00-7:00pm at the Nature Center for a book discussion!

Crow Talk by Eileen Garvin is a novel about two women, a lonely ornithologist named Frankie and a grieving musician named Anne, who form an unlikely friendship in the Pacific Northwest while caring for a silent, five-year-old boy and an injured baby crow.

The Hawarden Library will lead the book discussion, and a Sioux County Naturalist will make connections to our natural world. Please pre-register with us or with the Hawarden Public Library.

Join guest artist, Aubrey Kellen, for a fun morning of art in the outdoors!

Aubrey is a student at University of South Dakota and has recently been inspired by cyanotype prints and would love to share it with others! Aubrey will give an overview of the process, take participants on a nature hike to collect items, and walk participants through the process of making their own cyanotype to take home. All ages welcome, but anyone under 11 will need adult assistance. Preregistration is required and spaces are limited. No cost. Please bring a snack and drink. Those who would like to join others for a sack lunch after the program, should bring one along.
