Last night, we were able to hold the Annual National Night Out Event in Haw River, with the assistance of our partners Haw River Fire Department, Alamance County Rescue Unit.
For Mr. Dan Christie for your help with the Sno-Cone and Popcorn Machines, for the RUNDOWN Band, the music was great!

We also had the opportunity to present to Retired Chief of Police Toby Harrison a plaque thanking him for dedicated service to the town of Haw River. Chief Harrison served with the Haw River Police Department for 28 years. Thank you Chief and we hope retirement is going well.

Thank you to everyone who participated and attended.
We hope you all had as much fun as we did.

The Haw River Police Department would like to congratulate our newest CIT graduates!

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training is a 40 hour program that equips our officers with de-escalation skills and understanding to effectively assist persons experiencing a mental health crisis.

📣📣 ATTENTION 📣📣

Haw River Town Hall parking lot will be closed to the public starting tomorrow July 29, 2026, for renovations to the parking lot. The parking lot is in the process of being repaved.

The parking lot is expected to be closed for the next two weeks as the parking lot is being paved with heavy duty asphalt (to accommodate the Fire Departments Apparatus / Vehicles.

Parking in front of the Police Department is permitted, when space allows.

The offices will remain open during this time for business.
