Ticks are very active in Montana right now. MTDPHHS is asking for your help in their surveillance efforts, and if you find a tick to please report it to them and send it to Helena for testing and identification. New species of ticks may be moving into Montana, but without widespread sampling, we will not know if they are colonizing here or were brought in from an out of area traveler. If you are interested in reporting a tick, please reach out. We have containers available to put the tick in, and are happy to help ensure it gets to Helena.

We are working to assess the awareness in our community around how to safely put an infant down for a nap or bedtime. We have a very short survey that will help us learn more about what educational materials/trainings we can bring to our community around this important matter.

If you want to become a weather spotter for the National Weather Service and learn how to identify different thunderstorm structures and how to report severe weather in your area, here's your reminder that we have TWO virtual spotter training opportunities this week!

This year, we are splitting up the talks based on the different Montana climates east of the divide. The overall content will be very similar but each presentation will be tailored to their specific areas of Montana. All 3 will occur as an Online Webinar (via Google Meet).

Anyone is welcome to attend any session! It is free to sign up using the QR code on the flyer below. Once you register you will receive more information on how to attend. We hope to see you there!
