The Length of service award program (LOSAP) has been an awesome incentive to the volunteers since the 70s. Last week our County Council raised the amount to $375 per month. Volunteers can start collecting LOSAP at the age of 50 with 25 years of service. Thank you Harford County Council.

It is with great sadness to share the news of the passing of our friend and dedicated member of our 5-9 family, Vickie Hyde.

Vickie always looked after others, making sure they were OK and putting those she loved above her own personal care. She never met a stranger, as anyone she came in contact with immediately knew that they were now a welcomed friend. She loved EMS and ensured every patient she encountered knew that they would be taken care of, always with dignity and respect, and usually holding their hand on the way to the hospital. Her kindness was her strength expecting nothing in return.

Our deepest sympathies are extended to her family and to her friends.

Rest in peace, Vickie.

We are so fortunate to live in a community where strong bonds are formed and friendships last a lifetime. Our friends at Citizens Care Center recognized our providers with a beautiful poster, card, and delicious cake in honor of EMS Week 2026. We all appreciate your friendship and hope you know that we don’t take it for granted. EMS Week -- May 17-23, 2026. The official theme for 2026 is "Improving Outcomes, Together". EMS Week is an annual celebration recognizing the vital work of emergency medical services personnel, including EMTs, paramedics, and other prehospital care providers as well as those who assist in other important roles such as our phenomenal dispatch personnel. Tonight we will show our appreciation to our members and celebrate with dinner at Coakley's Pub and Saturday we will gather for fun and games at the new Pirates Cove Family Fun Center. Special thanks to the R&R Committee for all the hard work and planning for the weeks' activities.
