Join Mayor Martin and the City of Havre de Grace this Sunday, May 17th at 2 PM for the ceremonial dedication of Lodge Lane to Lawrence Ringgold, the first African American police officer in Havre de Grace. The ceremony will take place at the intersection of Lodge Lane and Alliance Street near where Mr. Ringgold lived and falls on the 60th anniversary of his ultimate sacrifice while serving in Vietnam. While the street name remains Lodge Lane, this ceremonial dedication ensures that his courage and impact on our community are never forgotten. We invite the entire community to join us in paying tribute to one of Havre de Grace’s finest.
