Havre de Grace is set to return to the television spotlight this weekend. Bella’s Tea Room, located at 421 St. John Street., has announced it will serve as a filming location for an upcoming HBO series this Sunday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

While the production's exact title remains confidential, community response has been immediate. Reservations for background extras were fully booked within two hours of the announcement. This marks the second recent major television production to feature St. John Street, following a Gordon Ramsay production at neighboring MacGregor’s Restaurant in March 2025.

Havre de Grace is expected to land on television for the second time in a year — and once again, a local restaurant is at the center of it.

On Sunday, HBO producers will film a show at Bella’s Tea Room, at 421 Saint John St., the restaurant announced.

Al Rosas, co-owner of Bella’s Tea Room, said he cannot disclose the name of the show that will film from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Last week, the City of Havre de Grace was honored to welcome Governor Wes Moore to celebrate major investments in our local economy, green infrastructure, and defense readiness. The visit highlighted the grand opening of the Maryland Army National Guard’s new $45 million Combined Support Maintenance Shop, a state-of-the-art facility supporting over 80 units statewide.

Governor Moore joined Mayor Bill Martin for a city tour starting at the STAR Centre, showcasing more than $930,000 in grant funding secured through the Maryland Energy Administration’s Local Government Energy Modernization Program for critical energy efficiency measures and a new rooftop solar array. The tour continued into our Main Street District to connect with local business owners and discuss community priorities. This downtown visit spotlighted the tangible success of the city’s Facade & Interior Grant Program, demonstrating to state leadership how strategic funding is actively revitalizing storefronts and driving commercial growth.

Thank you, Governor Moore, for your continued partnership and commitment to the sustainable infrastructure and small business ecosystem that helps Havre de Grace thrive.
