Newton Road and Dutton Road Culvert Replacement Project

A Public Information meeting will be held on Saturday
June 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM on-site at the intersection of
Newton Road and Dutton Road to discuss the project.
The project proposes to replace the existing 36” culvert
under Newton Road with a larger 9.5’ x 6’ concrete box
culvert. The existing 24” culvert under Dutton Road is
proposed to be replaced with an open channel. The roadway
elevation of Newton Road is proposed to be raised 2.5’
over the culvert with a gradual transition back to the existing
elevation to the north and south of the culvert.

Message is in English and Español. Monday, May 25th, is Memorial Day, a federal holiday. As a reminder, all curbside trash and red recycling routes will be delayed by one day. Friday's routes will be serviced on Saturday. Thank you.

This Saturday May 16th, there will be a city-wide curbside leaf pickup. Please have leaves and grass clippings bagged or in open barrels and on the curb by 6:00 am Saturday morning for pickup. Brush and branches are not allowed. Please keep bags and barrels under 40 pounds. No loose leaves, plastic bags or trash. Thank you!

TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Want to make everyone aware of some utility service work (gas) tomorrow May 7th that will result in road closures and detours. Monument St will be closed from Hannah Dustin St and Angel Ave to Hilldale Ave from 4pm to 12 am. Detours will be in place and please take it slow a use the utmost caution while utilizing these detours.

Water Street Traffic Alert - Due to the water main break on Groveland Street and Water Street, the westbound lane of Water Street between Groveland Street and Shapleigh Avenue will be closed to traffic until further notice. The eastbound side of Water Street will remain open.
