Join us as we officially dedicate the TAV-8B Harrier II “T-Bird” at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center! This historic aircraft is now part of Havelock’s story and serves as a lasting tribute to the aviation heritage and military community that make our city so special.

🚧 SANITARY SEWER SMOKE TESTING BEGINS SEPTEMBER 21 🚧

Beginning Monday, September 21, 2026, City of Havelock Lines Crew staff will be conducting smoke testing in Zones 2 and 4 to help identify sources of inflow and infiltration (I&I) entering the City’s sanitary sewer collection system.

Recent significant rainfall events have highlighted increased amounts of stormwater entering the sanitary sewer system in the South Forest and Chadwick Shores subdivisions. Smoke testing will help our crews locate potential sources of unwanted water entering the system so they can be addressed.

📍 Testing will begin on South Forest Drive and throughout the South Forest subdivision before moving into Chadwick Shores.

Residents may notice non-toxic smoke coming from sewer manholes, storm drains, or other areas during testing. This is a routine part of the City’s efforts to maintain and improve the sanitary sewer system.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as our crews work to identify and address potential sources of stormwater infiltration. 💧🔧

📢 Important Notice for City of Havelock Citizens

The City of Havelock will be upgrading our operating system on Thursday, September 17th, and Friday, September 18th.

What This Means for You:

During the upgrade, City staff will be unable to process utility bill payments and other City transactions.

Please make plans to pay your utility bills or conduct any necessary City business prior to or following the upgrade dates, if possible.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

This morning, we gathered as a community for the City of Havelock’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the courage and sacrifice shown by first responders, service members, and everyday heroes.

On this 25th anniversary, we will never forget the lives taken, the families forever changed, and the incredible strength and unity that emerged in the days that followed. 🇺🇸

Thank you to everyone who joined us in remembering, reflecting, and honoring those we lost. May we continue to carry forward the spirit of unity, service, and resilience that defines our nation.
