๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿš” NATIONAL DONUT DAY CASE ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿฉ

Case #: DD-2026
Incident: Mass Donut Disappearance
Location: Police Department Break Room

After hours of investigation, officers have identified multiple suspects, zero witnesses, and absolutely no remaining evidence.

What we do know:
โœ… The donuts were here this morning.
โœ… They are no longer here.
โœ… Several employees have requested legal counsel.
โœ… One officer is currently receiving emotional support after discovering the last chocolate-frosted donut was already taken.

Fortunately, there is good news.

๐Ÿฐ๐ŸฆŠ Tonight, Havelock Parks & Recreation is showing Zootopia 2 at City Park at dusk!

If Detectives Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde can solve a citywide mystery, maybe they can help us crack the case of the missing donuts so Captain Casassa can put a smile back on his face. Current reports indicate his level of disappointment is somewhere between "out of coffee" and "someone took the last donut."

โš ๏ธ Reward offered: One high-five and our eternal gratitude.

On May 16, 2026, the Havelock Police Department and Blue Knights Chapter XVIII proudly hosted a charity ride benefiting Special Olympics North Carolina. Alongside the Veteran Enforcers Motorcycle Association and the Crystal Coast Jeep Club, we were honored to help raise over $1,100 for such an incredible cause!

Together with several local riding groups, participants enjoyed a scenic ride through beautiful Carteret County, beginning and ending at the Havelock Police Department. After the ride, everyone was treated to a catered lunch provided by our local Jersey Mikeโ€™s.

Additional funds were raised through a 50/50 raffle won by Jason Cloer, who generously donated all of his winnings back to Special Olympics NC. Thank you, Jason, for your kindness and support!

The Blue Knights would also like to extend a special thank you to our law enforcement partners who helped ensure a safe and successful event for all riders:

โ€ข Carteret County Sheriffโ€™s Office
โ€ข Morehead City Police Department
โ€ข Beaufort Police Department

And a huge shout out to our local Jersey Mikeโ€™s for the amazing catering and continued community support!

This morning, the Havelock Police Department proudly participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) in support of Special Olympics North Carolina! We were joined by the North Carolina State Patrol, Craven County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Newport Police Department, and Washington Police Department.

Participants ran from the AMC Theatre on the east end of Havelock to the West End Fire Station, with stops including City Hall and Jersey Mikeโ€™s โ€” a huge supporter of Special Olympics North Carolina. Recently, Jersey Mikeโ€™s donated an entire day of earnings to support Special Olympics athletes and programs.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run helps raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics, supporting year-round sports training, competitions, and opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities.

There is still time to support this great cause by purchasing official 2026 NC LETR merchandise! ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿงข

This National Police Week, we want to recognize and thank the law enforcement officers who work every day to keep our community safe, strong, and supported.

Behind every badge is a person who misses holidays with family, answers difficult calls, and shows up when people need help most. Their service, sacrifice, and commitment make a difference in the lives of so many.

We are grateful for the officers who serve our neighborhoods with integrity and compassion, and we honor those who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Thank you for all you do for our community.
