A huge thank you to those who came to support Nightcap Tap for their ribbon cutting! They will be hosting a Grand Opening celebration all day!

“Good morning, everyone,

My name is Megan Wilson-Friedrich, and I’m proud to serve as President of the Chamber of Commerce. Thank you all for coming out to celebrate another exciting moment for our community.

Today, we’re here to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Nightcap Tap, owned by Jamie and Chelsey Brown. This is more than just the opening of a business, it’s the revival of a space that holds meaning in our town.

Jamie and Chelsey have shown incredible dedication and vision in bringing this building back to life. Projects like this take grit, patience, and a real belief in the future of the community. They didn’t just open a new business, they invested in restoring something that many of us are excited to see active and thriving again.

That kind of commitment matters. It creates energy, brings people together, and helps keep our downtown and local economy strong.

On behalf of the Chamber, we want to thank you both for choosing to invest here and for the hard work you’ve put into making Nightcap Tap a reality. We’re excited to see it become a place where people gather, connect, and make memories.

“Good morning, everyone,

My name is Megan Wilson-Friedrich, and I’m honored to serve as President of the Chamber of Commerce. Thank you all for being here today to celebrate such an exciting moment for our community.

We’re gathered to welcome and officially celebrate the ribbon cutting for Anything Esthetic, founded by Bryleigh Morris, a licensed esthetician who is bringing something truly special to our town. Her focus on personalized treatments and education goes far beyond the table, she’s not just providing services, she’s building relationships, empowering clients, and elevating confidence.

Entrepreneurship like this is the heartbeat of a strong community. It takes courage, vision, and a lot of hard work to start something of your own, and Bryleigh is a great example of that spirit in action. We are proud to support her and excited to see her business grow and thrive.

I also want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank Nikki Pedigo for her generosity and support. Providing space and encouragement to help launch a young entrepreneur is exactly the kind of collaboration that strengthens our local business community. That kind of mentorship and partnership does not go unnoticed, it makes a real difference.

🎉 If you had a blast at the St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl, here’s another event to mark on your calendar! 🎉

The 2nd Annual Roper Romp: Havana Boutique & Bar Crawl is coming up May 9 from 10 AM – 6 PM, and it’s shaping up to be another fun day in Havana!

This event supports scholarships for local students through the Spoon River College Foundation, a valued member of the Havana Area Chamber of Commerce. We’re proud to see so many Chamber member businesses participating to make this a great community event.

Expect a full day of activities including:

🍳 Breakfast & mimosas
🛍️ Boutique crawl with local shops
🎶 Live music
🎯 Bags tournament
🎤 Bingo with Chris Boggs
🍹 Bar crawl
🎭 Costume contest (so start planning that Mrs. Roper look!)
