..RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM EDT TO 8 PM EDT SATURDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR SOUTHWEST GEORGIA, SOUTHEAST ALABAMA, THE EASTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE, AND THE INLAND BIG BEND...

* WIND...Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 30 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 18 percent in the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

The quarterly Fire Pension Board Meeting date was changed from 3/5 to 3/26. The meeting time remains unchanged: 8:30 am at Town Hall. This meeting is open to the public.
