Yesterday, our Director of Community Impact, Haley Mosley, joined the Marion County Community Impact Coalition to serve lunch to 200 children across the county.

While many resources are concentrated in larger communities, strong partnerships help ensure children and families in our rural counties (like Marion and Perry) have access to the support they need as well. This is a great example of our mission in action: improving lives through cultivating partnerships that strengthen communities across all four counties we serve.

Today, United Way of Southeast Mississippi was honored to host our annual Past Board Chair Breakfast.

This special gathering brings together many of the dedicated leaders who have helped shape our organization throughout the years. The breakfast provides an opportunity to share updates on our current work, celebrate the impact we are making across our communities, and discuss opportunities for continued growth.

We are deeply grateful for the wisdom, leadership, and commitment of our past board chairs. Their insights and perspectives help ensure that United Way of Southeast Mississippi continues to evolve, strengthen partnerships, and create lasting change for the people we serve.

Every student deserves to walk into class on day one ready to learn, but for many families, the cost of supplies adds up fast.

That’s where you come in.

We are collecting school supplies for the teachers and schools with the greatest needs in our community. Every item you donate goes straight into the hands of local educators, who’ll use them throughout the year to make sure no student goes without.

One of the goals of SOAR United is helping children build home libraries of their own, so what better way to kick off summer break than with a free book fair?!

We had a great time with the students at South Perry Elementary School as they each picked out 3 books to enjoy over the summer and keep their reading skills strong. Thanks to this special day, 650 new books are now finding a home in the hands of these young readers!

Thank you to Grand.bank for the generous donation to support disaster relief work in Purvis. Your support is helping us serve families and communities when they need it most.

We’re grateful for the work the United Way of Southeast Mississippi is doing to support those impacted by the recent tornadoes in Purvis and surrounding communities.

We were honored to donate $1,000 to the United Way’s Disaster Relief Fund to support local relief and recovery efforts for our friends and neighbors in need during this difficult time.
