We're wrapping up several grievances. Remember when management failed to post City 8, 24, 1 and 33? We had to file again on 33 because they did not post that it went "no successful bidder". Other grievances include working non otdl over 8 hours, refusing to provide information (per the contract) falsifying clockrings again, management not putting in no lunch punch in order to reflect that the carrier didn't work past 15 minutes and to better reflect on their bad managerial decisions. You need to be watching the work hour work load report. Others include working non otdl carrier on their off day and failure to meet. Ask yourself, if I were or am on the otdl and you make only 8 hours at straight time and a non otdl makes 8 at time and a half is that fair to you? What if you were otdl and they didn't work you at all and a non otdl was worked? You have a right to your overtime per the Contract. What if you signed up for non otdl and management said "no"? What if you were a CCA waiting to go regular and there was no Union to press for timely posting? Management doesn't tell you when they purposefully leave off your no lunch punch or steal your over time. Management doesn't want you to know that they break the Contract generating grievances, that they do control when routes are posted or that they are the ones that schedule time to investigate and prepare grievances. A Union rep is not required to do Union work on their own time. Do you work for free? Your Union rep doesn't have too either. All of these issues and more are discussed at our monthly Union meetings. Our next meeting is July 21 @ 7 pm. Stay informed instead of mad and misinformed.
