☀️🚲 SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE! 🛴🍦
The Hastings Police Department and Hastings Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up to kick off summer with a new event, "Street Smarts Summer Kickoff!"

📍 Hastings Aquacourt Parking Lot
📅 Saturday, May 16, 2026
⏰ 1:00–3:00 PM
💥 FREE family fun!

Kids can:
🎨 Decorate their bikes & scooters
🚴 Cruise in a fun wheels parade
🛑 Test their skills on exciting obstacle courses
🧠 Learn bicycle & scooter safety tips from HPD Officers
🍦 Enjoy FREE ice cream after the parade
🎁 Grab a goody bag while supplies last!

HPD Officers have built TWO obstacle courses:
🔥 A more challenging course for experienced riders
⭐ A beginner-friendly course for younger kids
Helmets are REQUIRED to participate in the obstacle courses.

There will also be:
🌭 Food trucks
☀️ Summer vibes
💦 Aquacourt memberships available for purchase

🕐 EVENT SCHEDULE:
• 1:00–2:15 PM — Bike decorating & safety courses
• 2:20 PM — Bike/Scooter Parade
• 2:45 PM — FREE Ice Cream Social
