🚑 Emergency Medical Services Week 2026 🚑

Governor Josh Shapiro has officially proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, recognizing the vital role EMS professionals play in protecting the health and safety of our communities.

EMS providers, career and volunteer, are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver lifesaving, out-of-hospital care. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to ongoing education and service dramatically improve survival and recovery for patients experiencing sudden illness or injury.
Throughout this week, we encourage Pennsylvanians to join us in honoring the hard work and accomplishments of EMS professionals and to participate in activities that recognize this essential public service.

What is EMS week? EMS week is a week in May that is dedicated to honoring and recognizing the men and women who provide emergency medical care. Authorized by Pres Gerald Ford in 1974, this week is set aside specifically for EMS. We are seeking businesses and individuals who are interested in donating or sponsoring a day for our crews.
This year, we are also looking to GIVE BACK to our community by holding a classes that are open to the public, and could save a life. Please share this info, and consider joining us!
