NEWS RELEASE:
On Wednesday, June 10th, 2026 at approximately 9:21 p.m., the Adams County Sheriff’s Department was notified that a bomb threat was received by a national hotline indicating there were multiple improvised explosive devices placed in Holstein, Nebraska. There were certain details of the very detailed threat that caused the validity of the threat to be questioned. Preliminary investigation revealed that it was a third-party report with the call originating outside of the United States. Adams County Emergency Management, the Holstein Volunteer Fire Department, and the Nebraska State Patrol were notified and placed on standby. Deputies responded to Holstein and searched the area specified in the threat and an additional area potentially related to it and found nothing of concern. The Adams County Sheriff's Department takes these calls seriously, the source of the threat will continue to be investigated. There is no reason to believe the public was, or is in danger.
