Water color in Harveys Lake has been getting greener the past few weeks, and Algal Blooms have formed near some shoreline properties. With no significant rain or cooler temps forecasted, more blooms may occur. Keep pets out of the water right now , until the lake returns to normal conditions. Algae is a natural feature that is in lake water and surfaces under the conditions Harveys Lake has experienced this past month,,,little rainfall, warm temperatures, and calm water is the perfect scenario for blooms. There needs to be testing done to confirm if cyanobacteria is present in any of these blooms, (This is the really bad guy),,,BE SAFE
