Off-Season Lifeguard Spotlight: Amanda Semsel

Amanda is a junior at Summit High School, balancing school and swimming for both her high school team and the Summit Area YMCA swim team. In November, she completed the Coral Reef Swim in St. Croix, USVI, placing third overall for women.

She swims year-round because it challenges her, motivates her, and makes her happy. Lifeguarding has been a lifelong dream, giving her the chance to give back to her Harvey Cedars community and strengthening her connection to the water.

Amanda hopes to continue swimming competitively in college, take on new challenges, and see how far the sport can take her.
