Harvard COA/Senior Center

Harvard COA/Senior Center The mission of the Council on Aging is to enhance the lives of Harvard residents age 60 and above. We are here to serve the community.

The Council identifies and addresses the ongoing social, recreational, educational, vocational, financial, transportation and therapeutic needs of Harvard’s senior population. This is accomplished through program development, advocacy, legislative awareness and involvement, and community linkages.

Many thanks to the Harvard Cultural Council donation allowing us to host Stephen Collins and his enlightening program "Irish Voices". He explored Irish culture, history and landscape through storytelling for a fascinated crowd of seniors.

"This program is supported by a grant from Harvard Cultural Council, a local agency, supported by Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency."

Good description of our wonderful staff at the Harvard COA!
SUPERHEROES!

We are grateful for the social workers who support older adults across Massachusetts every day.

From helping navigate healthcare and housing to providing emotional support during life transitions, social workers are often the steady voice in complicated moments.

🤝 How social workers support older adults:

• Connect you to local benefits and services

• Assist with caregiving plans

• Provide crisis support

• Help coordinate healthcare services

If you’ve ever worked with a social worker, you know — they are part problem-solver, part advocate, part superhero (without the cape… usually).
