The Centegix alert sounds. Their hearts stop, for one beat only. Training and adrenaline kick in. Create the CAD Incident. Set off the tones, alert all emergency service personnel via radio. Send the CodeRED mass public safety notification. Call the Director. Call the other department heads. Answer the many radio frequencies with a multitude of voices and units. Document EVERYTHING!!! Help begins to arrive to assist in the 911 center. While incident command is established on scene, it is also established in Dispatch. Call all surrounding EMS agencies for additional trucks and manpower. Call every hospital within a 100-200 mile radius. Request all medical helicopters that are available. Verify the landing zone. Call Road departments, bus shops, GDOT. Keep breathing even though one of your babies is in that school. Remember to document everything, court cases depend on it. Block out the screams, the shots that you hear when units key up on the radio. Are all of our work family okay? The silence is deafening and heart wrenching. Answer those 911 calls, all the administrative lines as well. Other real emergencies are happening. Keep your focus. Calm callers, that are demanding to know what is going on. Tears roll. Hands shake. Hugs are shared. They keep answering, documenting, doing what they have chosen to do. THIS IS ONLY A DRILL. We pray every day, it never happens, but It does. This group volunteered to come in this morning. Taking time away from their families, to be prepared to assist in saving yours. This team is dedicated. This team is AWESOME!!!!!! THANK YOU to each one of you!!!!

MUCH thank you to my staff!!!!!

From Hart County Water and Sewer:

Thank you to everyone for doing your part to conserve water during this challenging time. The Hart County Water and Sewer Authority would like to share an update with our community. While the boil water advisory remains in effect, customers are no longer being asked to follow the heightened water conservation measures that were previously requested. However, our area is still under Drought Level 1, so we ask everyone to continue following those water conservation guidelines. Every effort helps protect our water supply and natural resources. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and continued support. Visit our website or look for updates on this page.
