Marlboro Township, Ohio Marlboro Township is a community, home to approximately 4,500 residents, located in northern Stark County in Northeastern, Ohio, founded in the year 1833.

Our Elected Trustees are Wayne Schillig, Ken Eddleman, and John Battershell. Our Elected Fiscal Officer is Tracy Ferrett. Our Office Administrator is Linda Marx. Our Road Superintendent is Rick Bergert. Our Zoning Inspector is Ed Stanley. Our Township provides 24/7 Police protection via our Police Department. The Police Chief is Ronald Devies. The Marlboro Township Trustees are taking resumes for seasonal employment to assist with snow removal in the township. Resumes may be dropped off at the township offices at 7344 Edison Street if after hours there is a document drop box near the front door.

Sealed bids will be received at the Marlboro Township Office, 7344 Edison St NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632 until 3:00pm on Monday, July 7, 2025 for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project known as the OPWC FUNDED PROJECT: OSBORNE AVENUE PAVING and will be publicly opened at the next scheduled Trustee meeting on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 7:00pm. Bid envelopes shall be marked:

On and after June 16, 2025, copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Marlboro Township Office, 7344 Edison St NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632, (Phone 330-935-5412 or [email protected]).

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than September 30, 2025.

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required.

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Stark County as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614-644-2239.

The Marlboro Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.

The Marlboro Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to decrease or omit any item or items, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the Township at the time and under the conditions stipulated.

Marlboro Township is taking resumes for a Road Superintendent position. Applicant must have a current CDL with a clean driving record. Some knowledge and experience with snow plowing, road and equipment
maintenance, knowledge of the bidding process, purchasing, paperwork and overseeing crew and inventory would be a plus. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation and sick time, retirement, health insurance and a clothing allowance.

Parade begins at 1pm at the intersection of St. Peters Church and Marlboro Ave and runs to the Marlboro Cemetery.
Ceremony in the cemetery begins at the conclusion of the parade.
