🇺🇸 Proud to Be an American Week starts TODAY! 🇺🇸
We’re kicking off the week with Hats Off to America!

Did you know? Throughout our country’s history, different hats have represented the brave men and women who serve America—from military covers to the helmets worn by firefighters, police officers, and other first responders.

Today, as our Dragons wear their favorite hats, we tip our hats to all those who serve and protect our country and communities.

What a wonderful surprise!

A huge THANK YOU to the Women’s League of Hartsville for their generous donation of $500 to Carolina Elementary! These funds will be used to support literacy and put more books into the hands of our Dragons.

We are incredibly fortunate to have community partners who believe in our students and continue to invest in their success.

Thank you, Women’s League of Hartsville, for supporting our Dragons and helping us grow a love of reading! ❤️

Continuous improvement is always the goal at CES!

Not only are our students working hard each day, but our teachers are too! Members of our Dragon Team spent time digging into data, identifying strengths and areas for growth, and developing goals that will guide our work throughout the year.

At CES, we believe there is always room to learn, grow, and get better. We celebrate our successes, but we also continue asking, “What can we do next to make an even greater impact for our students?”

That’s what continuous improvement is all about—always growing, always learning, and always working together for our Dragons! 🌟

Reminder, Dragon Families!

There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Enjoy the long weekend, Dragons! We’ll see everyone back at CES on Tuesday!

Darlington County School District schools and offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. We will resume classes and a normal schedule on Tuesday, September 8.

What a way to kick off All Pro Dads for the year!

We had our largest crowd yet on Friday morning, and we loved seeing so many dads, granddads, families, and Dragons filling the room!

Thank you to everyone who came out, spent time with our students, and helped make the morning so special. We are so grateful for families who show up and make CES such a special place to be.

We can’t wait for the next one on September 25!!

Our kindergarten artists are learning all about LINES!

After practicing different types of lines, our youngest Dragons took their learning to the next level by creating 3-D line sculptures using pool noodles, pipe cleaners, and beads!
