Once again, it's time to SHARE SHARE SHARE and make this fun event known to ALL. Trophies have been ordered and prizes are being collected.
Just a few rules to remember in the best efforts to keep everyone and every animal safe.
1. Pets HAVE to be controlled by owner at all times. Leashes, caged, whatever your parade theme is if pet is incorporated or not they have to be controllable.
2. No pets with an aggressive history. You know your pet best. If you might suspect your pet could be aggressive in any way, even once, please do not bring them.
3. BATTERY OPERATED ONLY for power. No gas engines. Feel free to use these type entries in the rodeo parade taking place later that day.
4. NO PARKING IN BEARE MANOR PARKING LOT. PERIOD. This is part of the parade route but most importantly Beare Manor allows us to go through in exchange of their residence enjoying the parade, which is the best part. Feel free to park at the ball fields, city park where it will end or alongside the roads.
5. WAVE to the crowd, especially the residence at Beare Manor. This is the perfect time to stop the parade and display your work and/or any awesome function your costume design does. The residence LOVE IT and is usually where the JUDGES hangout.
6. If your pet has an accident 💩 please be respectful and pick it up. I will have 💩 bags available if you would like one.
7. ALL AGES WELCOME
Everyone of all ages. Any pet you can leash, cage, pull in wagon, push in stroller or carry. Remember the pavement will be HOT so paw protectors are a HUGE relief to your fur babies. If you look back on some previous years pics you’ll find tons of families and pets enjoying participating in this parade. It’s a slower paced parade.
Strollers, wagons, battery operated children’s cars, bikes, skateboards, roller skates…whatever your imagination comes up with that doesn’t take a gas motor. Bicycles have been a big hit for the kiddos.
Some of our families go all out on themes. It’s always astonishing how creative some of you can be. As stated in the rules, the parade will be going through Beare Manor parking lot again this year. The residents and the staff look forward to this every year. We love doing it! It’s a lot on staff so we appreciate everything they do for their residence and us. ❤️
PLEASE SHOW OFF YOUR PICS and VIDOES afterwards directly on the Hartshorne’s Kids & Pets Parade page. We want to enjoy them as much as you want to show them.
If I think of anything else I’ll continue to add to this post. If anyone can add anything please comment. If you would like to help out, have some really cool ideas or even possibly take over this growing parade, holler at Jessica 918-470-8374. I'd love to hand it off to someone wanting to continue making this fun, exciting and something the kiddos look forward to on July 4th weekend.
Let's make this another memorable kids and pets parade!
Thanks everyone!
